Dr Marius Botha

Dr Botha immigrated from South Africa 18 years ago. He obtained the Graduate Certificate of Allergic Disease at Western Sydney University. He also obtained a Diploma in Dermatology.
He gained Ear Nose and Throat experience working in a registrar training post for a year. Dr Botha is passionate about helping children with nasal allergies and blocked noses. He feels this is an area where allergy treatments can make the biggest impact.
He is based in the Sunshine Coast, but also travels to Mackay to help manage remote patients. His special interests include Allergic Rhinitis, nasal polyposis and food allergy.
Dr Botha also provides nasal endoscopy assessment when appropriate.
Dr Andrew Merry
MBBS, FRACP Clinical Immunologist & Allergist

Dr Andrew Merry MBBS, FRACP Clinical Immunologist & Allergist, is a graduate of James Cook University and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Clinical Immunology and Allergy. Dr Merry completed his Advanced Physician Training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Greenslopes Private Hospital and the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, working privately since 2020.
Dr Merry is the only private Clinical Immunologist based at and providing care to the people of the Sunshine Coast. Born in central Queensland, trained in far north Queensland, living on the Sunshine Coast and servicing all of Queensland with telehealth.
He is passionate about all aspects of Clinical Immunology and Allergy. Growing up with severe eczema himself and a wife and daughter with eczema and food allergy he has empathy and an in depth understanding of the complexity, anxiety and fatigue that come with allergic disease and it treatments. Being a primarily adult trained physician, Dr Merry does not see patients under the age of 4.
Areas of keen interest: Allergic rhinitis (hay fever), food allergy, Eczema, Hives and Angioedema, Antibiotic allergy along with autoimmune disease, vasculitis and immune deficiency.

With over five years of experience in medical administration, specialising in allergy and immunology, Gloria brings a wealth of administrative knowledge and dedication to team. As a Senior Medical Secretary, she plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, supporting both patients and healthcare professionals with efficiency and care.
Currently studying nursing, Gloria is passionate about expanding her clinical skills and is working towards becoming a Nurse Practitioner specialising in allergy and immunology. Her commitment to patient care and her drive to grow within the field make her a valued member of our team.


Sarah Merry
Clinical Nurse
With over 14 years experience in acute care nursing across both the private and public sectors, Sarah is passionate about helping patients to achieve optimal outcomes.
With a Masters in Advanced Nursing Practice, Sarah offers expertise and a confident, friendly approach. Sarah is also credentialed to provide Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support.
